Paper Jukebox took over a corner of the Sherbert Lounge for The Big Collab on May Day 2011, We exhibited our work as well as creating new work in front of crowds of punters!
Four and a half hours later, with a massive pile of stencils, this is my final piece.
Yesterday I tried impossibly difficult stencil printing onto a glass vase, I think it could look really cool but I have to work out a better way of doing it to make it easier, a lot of thinking about this is next. Hope to work it out!
So.. after a few weeks of having almost entirely given up on my little aubes sprouting, I finally found my first baby, unfurling itself out of the soil! Excited, I carried it around the house, introducing it to my housemates. Welcome to the world little aube!
Playing about with the visual style that I developed in December, I'm trying to learn to love landscapes. I don't like drawing hundreds of trees -I bloody hate it, so with this way of printmaking hopefully I can make it enjoyable! The top two are inspired by a visit to the Russel Coates Museum and Art Gallery, and below is a copy of Raoul Dufy's Racetrack at Deauville. And, yep, I have enjoyed doing these..
